Are you part of a performing group based in Egham or the surrounding area?

Do you want to be part of a community event in a historic performance venue?

We are working on a community variety show to be held in The Literary Institute, Egham High Street on Friday 8th June and we want you to be involved!

The Literary Institute was historically a place for performance and for the local community to come together and next summer we hope to return it to some of its former glory but without  performers to bring it to life we can’t make this dream a reality.

This performance will be part of Suffrage in Egham project so will commemorate the 100th anniversary of some getting the vote in 1918. That doesn’t mean you have to perform a suffrage play or song – we welcome anything from the late 19th/early 20th century, suffrage related or otherwise. We are also happy for anything which celebrates women and girls. Please do let us know if you have any ideas.

You can find the proposal here if you need to pass it onto your committee/directors. Alternatively please contact Amy on suffrageproject@eghammuseum.org or 01784 434484 (Tuesdays and Thursdays only) if you have any questions.
